ABOUT OUR THEME SONG:
I woke up on July 1st of 2020 with the first two lines of this chorus in my mind. The night before, I had taught our church family about the soon coming kingdom of our Lord, as we were working our way through Jesus’ teaching on prophecy in Matthew 24. It seemed the Holy Spirit was putting these words and this melody in my heart early that morning, even before I was awake and aware of what I was singing.

We had been searching for theme music for Only Jesus 4 Me. I realized that God was giving me a theme song and I began to work with those two lines and pray over ideas until God gave me the rest of the song.

This song tells my story... "I started down this road 40 years ago..." I gave my heart and life to Jesus on December 13, 1981--40 years in a few months. I really struggled with peace, even after trusting Jesus. I had a lot of questions, a lot of doubts. Little by little, those "mysteries unfolded," and answers came. It took over 5 years.

I put together "A Journey of Faith" to try to help others discover the peace that I found--without so much turmoil and years of "coming up empty." I hope you enjoy the song as much as we have enjoyed writing it and producing it. As the producer said, "there is a real party" going on at the end of the song. Exactly! That is how I feel inside when I talk about Jesus. Excited. Free. Full of Peace and Joy. Throw a party for Jesus with us and get excited about who HE is! So many people are hung up in religion. Not me. I am spiritual, but not religious. In love with Jesus, but not all hung up on tradition. "It's NOT tradition, Only Jesus 4 Me."

I am indebted to so many people who have helped make this song what it is. Peter helped arrange it and had some awesome ideas. Diane was assisting me every step of the way... my, my the patience of that lady! The singer, Mike, is just fabulous. The musicians are awesome. We put together the best band we could find and we just love the music they made. I chuckle every time I hear it, it is so much fun. We hope you also feel the same way.
